Thank you all for your love and support during my journey with Murphy. Each of you filled a special place in our lives. I can sleep well at night knowing the 2 children she found are alive years ago are now adults. We shared a special bond only a SAR K9 handler can know and traveled from Fresno to the Mexican border and all of Kern County in addition to flying across the U.S. together “in cabin” in our uniforms. (She was even asked to remove her shabrack so airport security could “pat” her down!) She has earned her rest. She will be missed a lot by many who knew her and a special place in my heart.
God speed Murphy until we meet again……..I’ll always love you, you are my very “special girl”.

A Tribute to Dolly
Her
parents were ranch dogs,
They
worked the big cows.
She
tried it once,
Just
to show she knew how.
But
her life was her sheep,
It’s
what she did best.
From
morning ‘til night,
She’d
stare without rest.
“C’mon,
let’s go feed them,
Or
let me just chase,
No
one can move them,
At my break neck pace.”
Some thought her herding,
Too reckless, too wild.
Because
she worked her sheep
With the joy of a child.
Now Dolly is tired,
And has lay down to sleep.
But forever in our hearts,
She’ll be watching her sheep.
